Lavender oil is the most commonly used essential oil in the market; obtained from the lavender plant, it has a sweet and calming scent. Lavender oil can be applied directly to the skin, can be ingested and inhaled through aromatherapy for its healing and nerve-calming effects.

This particular essential oil can fight off signs of aging, such as wrinkles and dark spots. It also can lessen acne, improve hair health, reduce anxiety, and aid the digestion process.

These are just a few uses of lavender oil; let’s discuss them in more details:

Lavender oil is quite potent on its own, so it is used with a carrier oil that complements its use, such as coconut oil, argan oil, and witch hazel.

Lavender essential oil has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it an excellent reliever from acne. It works by eliminating bacteria from your skin and cleaning out your pores. This reduces the chances of getting acne and prevents it from spreading. Its anti-inflammatory properties provide relief to your skin and reducing itchiness.
